I had to xcitement magazine out of my building, and may have fucked myself.....
as now I have a $4,400.00/ month lease to cover without anyone leasing part of the building from me.(hey serge where are ya when a guy could use ya, haha )
I should have known that I might have some problems with my tennant when the first check they gave me bounced faster than tigger chasing after pooh bear! but the real trouble started much after that.... when I caught them with stolen image that I verified was stolen..... for anyone that does not know, this mag is primarily catered to escort advertising sales. I found them with a pic of Aria, a pic of Aimee sweet, and a pic from Lightspeed all being ran as local Portland hookers... when I verified that an image was truly stolen, and did NOT have the proper authority to be used in this manner, I confronted the Owner... he told me to mind my own business, ...... since I (and most people here) value the copyright protection system, I saw no other choice but to have them removed..... OUCH! so if anyone in the Portland area needs/wants studio space to rent out when they do their shoots, feel free to contact me .. |
Sorry to hear about your trouble man, but you did the right thing! Make sure the people who's pics they were know about it too, otherwise those yahoos will be trying it again somewhere else!

I'm sorry to hear about the bounced check, and that is certainly grounds for removing a tenant but because they were using copyrighted material without permission? hmmm... If I find out that a tenant of mine is cheating on their taxes or using copyrighted material wihout permission is it my responsibility to kick them out of my building? I don't think so and actually it wouldn't surprise me if it was illegal. In this case they bounced a check, but if they hadn't I'm pretty sure they'd have a case against you.

I see so many girls from the internet on local party fliers around here, I hardly take notice....
I know damn well that they have nothing to do with those girls but if they're cute, they will be distributed all over the city on these party advertisements..it's not like a web company can chase every twobit party promoter for using their girls on the fliers. |
damn darlin, that blows... you did the right thing and unfortunately sometimes doing the right thing leaves you short. Keep your chin up hon, something will pan out :)
