Designers - Salary/Income question.
 

Being freelancers, what do you guys consider a good weeks income, or a good months income?

If a company offers to hire you, how much do you subtract (if any) based on the "assurance" of pay (really only assured if you have a contract).

What do you guys think is a fair designers salary? (always wondered)

You can get an every day web designer for 10-14 an hour. A good graphics person is around 16-22 an hour to start. Look at college students for the best rates.

It is possible for a single freelance designer that is real good to pull down 10k-15k a month. 2-5k a design and a good designer can complete a paysite in one day with client interaction.

I have made over 15k in one month doing designs, even though I don't think I could do that anymore without shooting myself.

I don't think Sleazy is mentally challenge. If he was, he wouldn't be bringing in the money he is!

Depends. If you have a good client flow, $300K a year is decent. I know one guy who has a contract with a small university building websites and he clocks $225K a year.

Depends on clients, luck, talent, and ability to work hard.

from the sounds of your posts it seems like you don't..

When people brag about their income, always use the rule of 1/3 cut the bragged amount to 1/3 and that's the true amount that they make. Works like a charm.
