Does anyone here play vice city?
 

i know im like 2yrs late, but ive had the game and never really played it heh

can i get into these helicopters? i saw on the commercial they show him drive a copter and a boat, but i dont see how or where!

And is there any secrets anywhere that would make this game a bit more fun?

Go ontop of the Versetti mansion, there is one up there u can fly around.

There is another somewhere else but I forgot where.

how do i know the names of the buildings so i can find this one?

Also i see there is a way to buy buildings, but it never lets me! WTF?

yeah IIRC you have to run a few blocks from your house and then come back so it will be there.

it doesnt sound like you are very far into the game. this stuff will become more readily apparent as you advance the game.

You have to beat the different quests along the way. Have you done any jobs or anything?

You get control of the versetti mansion when you kill whatever that bosses name is that has it. It has been awhile since I beat the game, but the mansion is on the stretch that connects the beach area to the more downtown area.

so go to the safe house, run a few blocks and come back, then somehow get to the roof?

i never got to the roof, but ill keep trying.

yea the helicoptors are in a few spots, but i think you need to beat a few missions before they are available

one appears on a building, a save point you can buy for 12000 in the downtown region, near the stadium.

one on the mansion after its yours, one at the downtown police station...staircase off alley near firestation...

one on the vcn news bulfing in downtown...near brdige to porn studio..Inter Global studios, I love that!


the seaplane is available after you beat the film studio missions, and if you get 100 hidden packages you get the attack heli at the army base...

you have to wait until you can buy the versetti mansion. thats a ways into the game. me thinks you just need to be more patient and finish the missions you already have before you worry about the helicopter. lol. but dont worry. you will be flying one eventually :-)

i thought those missions were only to get money, didnt realize they affect the game play, lol

My TOP 10 Favorite things in Vice City:

10: Pick up a hooker, drive to a back alley, get out, beat that bitch and get yo' money back.
9: Snipe victims from buildings cops couldn't possibly get to.
8: Raids on the army base...they don't seem to like me.
7. Sell dope in the "Cherry Poppin" icecream truck.
6. Hold up stores, laundramts, etc for cash..dont try the amunations.
5. snipe the moon to make it change in size.
4. Watching gang wars and collecting the cash from the dead.
3. Helping a cop with a perp, collect "good citizen bonus" allow medics to come heal perp. Hit him again for more money...
2. Shoot out at the bank.

You just need to keep playing the missions. It will all make sense as you go along.

Yep just keep at it, there are a few ways to get a Tank...keep that in mind, you may not just see one sittin around at first. Many items wont be available until you get further in the game.

When you get a chance get the Colt...great gun in the game.

i havent googled it yet, but has anyone got an online guide?

goto the army base and get the apache, you have to collect all the hidden packages or do something else before you can get it though..

its fucking awesome to fly around and blow up cars and shoot people with the auto aim :thumbsup
