The Patent This Auction Site

The auction site is now working properly. After a couple of problems Thursday/Friday.

The idea is very simple we will be putting up items for auction, from our own stores and hopefully donated items. The highest bidder a week after the item went up will get it, so long as he pays for it. Anyone not paying for an item within 48 hours or contacting us with a reason will be declared invalid and the item will go down to the next highest bidder.

All the money taken from the site, less processing fees will be passed to the defense fund for the 11 defendants currently in court contesting Acacia and their patent on streaming video or audio.

We are looking for people to donate items to the auction as we are. Anyone donating an item will have his or her button and link next to the item while it?s being auctioned.

Last week we ran an auction on the site and raised over $600 a check was sent to the defense fund Friday.

We have also offered to donate free content to two of the defendants, one has accepted. Should any other defendants wish for any, please contact me.

The 11 companies are in court fighting for all of us, whether we have video/audio on our site or not. Because if Acacia win it will change the Adult Internet maybe into a place where people with broad patents think they can make a killing.

This is for all of us. The Patent This Auction Site

This is a new site and we would welcome any ideas and suggestions you may have.

At the moment it looks like a bidder is going to walk away with over $700 worth of content for $60.

Looks like a good idea and some great deals as well.

The one I ran last week I gave the item they were bidding for to the top 5 bidders. Some were picking up 25 sets for around $100 :)

They will all be crying out when they get their writs served on them.

Funny thing is I'm in the Czech Republic and it will be a long time before Acacia will get to me.

Greenguy said in a radio interview, I was doing it to protect my business interests, to keep me selling as a content provider. I replied that if Acacia win and close down most of my clients, I will open up as a paysite.

I'm doing this because I believe it to be right not for my own good.

Your not exactly a newbie yourself to being in business. But these guys are going to be kicking themselves for not picking up some cheap content.

Did not put up a closing date on the site for these two items. Sorry about that need to improve the site.

The auctions will run 7 days and we will tell you the closing date soon.

The closing date for the two items up now are Saturday next week.

Trying to register there to bid but getting "Invalid login or password. Please check spelling and case" errors.

Paul Markham 12-13-2003 01:25 PM

I'm trying to fix it, but it seems another thing has gone wrong.

Paul Markham 12-13-2003 01:28 PM

It does work but the wrong page comes up to confirm the registration. Bloody programing.:feels-hot

SGS 12-13-2003 01:50 PM

Fixed and working great now thanks :thumbsup

Perhaps its time for one of the big shots here to pump this up a bit?

Paul Markham 12-13-2003 03:45 PM

The raffle is working as well, they can buy a set for $10 and get a chance to be in a drawer for a bigger priize, just not decided what it will be yet. :1orglaugh

We are doing well, the latest bid is $250 for both items.

Anyone got anything else they want to donate, anyone ICQ me.

Interesting idea. I just hope not too much bling was blown on it until its thoroughly validated.
