Question about friendship

Tonight, I was at my friend's place. He has some cool neighbors and a cool landlord.


His ( and his live in girlfriend ) have the ugliest door to their bedroom. It doesn't match anything in the house. For some reason the door is this sickly pale bluish green, whereas everything else is brown and white.


Today he had a party and he punched his door and left a big hole. He did this because he was mad that his door was so ugly. He told me to hit the door too... drunk bastard!


Anyways, he told me "Hey Jason! I hate this fucking door, kill it!" So of course, being the friend I am, I took two steps back and executed a perfect goldberg-esque spear and went completely through the wooden door, splitting in it half.


Now, given that it was a BUTT ugly door that was obviously just a temporary thing when he moved in, and that he punched a small dent / hole in it first, am I on the hook for half a door? I don't mind paying for half, or more, I just don't know whether to offer or force and offer to help tomorrow.


That's about it. Rest in peace ugly, ugly door. Actually, fuck it, that door deserved to die. It was so ugly. The ONLY thing in the house that was bluish-green. Die door, die.

Doors are expensive.

Try to get out of it and blame it on alcohol and trying to "fit in"

Yeah, I figure since he told me to do it, and since the door was SO ugly, I should get off fine. I'll probably offer half.


That door was ugly. The carpet's butt ugly too, 'coz it has some paint drips from the door. What a terrible basement suite.
