i've always been a fan of toys for tots. they do a good thing. salvation army is an excellent idea too. you might even want to look into donating to local food banks, i used to help my grandparents distribute food at the food bank when i was younger, and usually they are always looking for some extra money to help.

A group of people in my town have organised a gift collection for underpriveleged and homeless/parentless kids. People can donate gifts up to $15 in value, so that the kids will receive something at Christmas when they'd normally get nothing. People donate the actual gifts (which should be suitable for little kids - toy car, action figure, teddy bear, etc) so the charity definitely doesn't receive any money.

Well, I think it's a good idea. Maybe there's something like that going on where you live.

I know it sounds selfish, that sounds like a lotta work.....
I reckon it would be as rewarding as hell though, maybe next year, the problem is, it's soooo close to xmas and I wanna give and make it as useful as possible....

The charity I was going to give to looks after drug and alcohol problem people, it shelters them , and looks after all the people that are too hard for some charities ( that's why I love it)

btw, this doesn't mean I can't give to others, I'd just split the dollars
