Who owns a Canon PowerShot A80?
im planning to buy next week, or any digital
cam you recommend? http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/a80/index.html |
The A80 uses 4 AA batteries. You will burn through them very quickly...Especially if you use the flash and LCD screen. I would never buy the camera for that reason alone. Been there, done that. :2 cents:

the right choice. But a friend suggested to use rechargeable Alkaline NiMH batteries instead. can any one recommend a much better alternative? |

So a spare set of rechargeables (to make sure I'm good for the full day) and I'd be all set, then a recharge at night and I'm good to know. And as for features.... for the price, you can't beat the Powershot A70/A80... if you don't want to spend a fortune because you won't be using your camera professionally, then I would definitely recommend the A70/A80. |

The A70 is fucking nice, I have that one! I recommend it big time! :)

They also make a waterproof enclosure for it that is good for up to 100 feet. Perfect for lucky bastards who live on Maui. :) |
im down to my last 2, S50 and A80... head to head comparison.
eventhough S50 cost $100 more, i could squeze in some extra bucks for that 1 Meg pixel. buying a cam has never been easy for me. damn, this flu sucks. |
