can you watch tv with your computer in the same room?
 

when i try, i find myself sitting on the couch *trying* to watch tv but glancing at the computer every 30 seconds... i have to turn off the monitor just to watch tv... anyone else afflicted with this disease?!

Yup at nights I sit on the couch with my laptop... start watching a movie or something and find myself doing work or posting. The whole movie can go by and it feels like I watched a trailer for it :1orglaugh

My radio is always on for background noise. Then I have my headphones on and play CDs all day. I'll listen to a CD and completely forget what I just listened to, then listen again. Can't pay attention to shit when I'm working, but I need the noise.

i dont watch tv... except ocational financial, news, history or tlc

I can't do both.. it has to be either the PC or the TV. I arranged my living room so that I can't see the monitor from where I sit and watch TV.. of course when I hear I got an ICQ the temptation to see who it is.. WAY too strong to ignore.

I have a TV tuner in my computer. I have to have background noise - either music, or the TV going - at all times.

I have 2 tv's and a pc in the same room.

I work from home all day and don't get to talk to anyone so I need the tv on plus I have to watch my soaps..well at least listen to them..those damn soaps! so addictive but not enough to compete with my pc...
