No more VISA for Celeb Sites?

This is a reminder email. Please read below. Changes should be done now.

This email pertains to webmasters promoting Celeb Drive only. If you are not promoting Celeb Drive, please ignore this email.

Due to new regulations concerning celeb sites, we are being forced to stop accepting Visa for Celeb Drive. We have been told this affects everyone.

Instead of taking the site down and re-directing traffic to another site of ours, we have decided to just not accept credit card transactions. Because of this, we can NOT pay per signup. EVERYONE who promotes Celeb Drive MUST change their links to the partnership program by the end of the day. Traffic up to that point will be getting paid in full for per signup.

We appologize for the short notice, but it was out of our control. We also just recieved the news. This weekend and Monday we will be paying out 80% partnership for all sites.


So whats the deal? Is this going to affect ALL celeb sites? Figures this shit comes up just as my celeb traffic was building to a nice level.

You guys must not be keeping up on things. Celeb sites are illegal (at least in the US). Visa/Mastercard and most other payment systems don't allow anything illegal. Those are copyrighted images. Unless they own the copyright to them and have the "18 U.S.C. 2257" statement. The site is illegal and can just be shutdown. That is why in the whois for the domain, they are located in Nassau, Bahamas. Otherwise, the site wouldn't be up. Playboy would go after them, just for the pics they have on their front page.

i guess what caused them problems is the paris hilton pics and the text around it
maybe they had the video in the members area
