ICQ and GFY
Just wondering how ICQ became GFY's primo contact method?
Every other day there is a thread about it playing up. I haven't used it regularly for years, only when forced to as it's a bloated pice of crap. I normally use MSN/Windows messenger and rarely have problems. In the dot com world a couple years back AIM seemed to be getting popular as a business message tool. I would rather use even that than ICQ anyday. Did a few people start using it on here and the rest just followed to be on a single platform or what? :glugglug ps The first "I sale short icq #" post has to buy me a beer at Internext :) |
yeah i used aim to keep in contact with everyone, and oncei joined this board, i was basically forced to start using icq again if i wanted an offboard chatting to take place
|
icq always has been the primary tool for contacting people in this industry
aim or msn just dont cut it.. cant send offline messages, cant become invisible and still be visible to certain people etc... |
im on icq.

i actually think yahoo isnt that bad

anybody have the trillian pro patch that fixes the recent yahoo fuckup? I don't have a log in to the pro patches anymore...
:( :helpme |
I've used icq ever since I started. I have MSn and yahoo accounts, but couldn't get into them. Now I'm forced to install MSN so I can talk to certain family members who like to play tic tac toe online and have custom 'names' that are 200 characters long, but I hate it. Arg. I use icq through Trillian though, and it works like a charm.
I perfer icq for the invisible function and offline messaging, predominantly. |
