Has anyone heard of these guys? I just read about them on Wired.com

Is anyone here a 'graduate' of this illustrious school? If so, did it teach you anything worthwile?

I'm a bit skeptical of them... they charge $140 to give you the 'skills' and 'knowledge' to be successful in the biz. Apparently, they've had 2000 suck... err... 'graduates'.

Their alumni allegedly make $500 to $2500 a week on average.
How many of you do that now and taught yourself, for free?

I think this is just a cash grab.

Maybe I should register AdultWebmasterCollege.com and charge only $100 for access to 'valuable' articles, tutorials and tools that can be found for free on the web.

I'm well aware... I just doubt someone with half a brain would sign up for this.

When I picture their alumni, I see a 30 year old fat guy using AOL for the first time, signing up for them and then running a chintzy site on a free host.

I got my intro into this business 2 1/2 years ago by coming across an article about them on salon.com

There are a number of people on this board who did the same thing.

Morgan a.k.a. ganjasaurus and Phil taught me a lot.

Could I have learned all this elsewhere? sure, but I didn't...I learned from them.

I guess it all boils down to...why do you care?

sure,people buy things that they can learn for free all the time..its called CONVIENCE :)

If marketed to newbies correctly, this could be a MINT.

Many of the webmasters here express disgust because the Net is fairly obvious to them and they know their way around..however, we are definitely in the minority in terms of the total population of the Net.. That is the target market of outfits like AWS and also neewman's book.

Obviously this is targeted at newbies, but we were all newbies once, and I don't think many of us went to Adult Webmaster School to get where we are now.

I am friends with the girl who runs this school.
