AOL launches love.com
Delivering instant gratification to Internet pairing, America Online is launching a dating service that will make finding a mate as easy as flashing a message.
Love.com is accessible to anyone with an Internet connection, Web browser and free AOL Instant Messenger account. Independent of AOL's regular online service, Love.com launched Wednesday as a free preview, with a yet-to-be-determined subscription fee starting Feb. 14. Consumers spend more money on personals and online dating than any other content on the Internet, according to the Online Publishers Association. U.S. consumers spent $214.3 million on personals in the first half of 2003, up 76 percent over the same period in 2002 |

That is gonna be a monster. 27 million potential customers that automatically get spammed when they log in. I guess they were just waiting for the IM video ban to be lifted off of them before they jumped in the fray.

Because I'll rock your world! Let's get up and out on a long bike ride up to Napa or to some sleazy bar in the Central Valley. I'm a recent NY transplant so if you like someone who's got a good mouth and loves to laugh, we'll have a blast. I'm just recently out of a long term relationship, so right now looking to PLAY. Show me the best that's out there to discover! I'm open to anything. where's my aol password god damn :glugglug |
