i will never understand why people looking to have a programmer to do something for them always assume its a 2 minute or 5 minute job.

Isn't it ironic? They have no clue how to do it themselves but have no problem estimating the amount of time that will be involved and then offer the generous amount of $ 25.00, which will in the end probably come out to $ 6.00 an hour.

Hell, it generally takes at least 2 minutes just to find out what they want! Even the absolute simplest modification to existing code that I know intimently takes 10 minutes by the time open the editor make/test the changes and send it to the customer and when it DOES go that fast I worry that I screwed something up! :1orglaugh
