PayPal's gone so what to do?

Ok guys and gals so who is a good replacement for PayPal? Please only reply if you have been with the company a while and can give good advice. Who pay's on time, has good fraud prvention etc., etc, that all of us in the adult industry worry about. I have heard some good stuff about epassporte but nothing really about any of the others. My biggest concern is fraud prevention (phony credit cards). I love getting money but hate having to give it back in 40 days;-)

I could only give you that info if you paypal me $100 :thumbsup

BlueFly 12-10-2003 12:28 PM

Screw paypal. I sold an item on ebay, and the winning bidder payed with a credit card via paypal. When the person got the item, she filed a chargeback. Paypal refunded the item price and the shipping, then fined me $10.00! That was the last time I ever used them.

Brad-Wishing 12-10-2003 12:37 PM

Damn. You need a credit card to signup.

You could try emailing me, or icqing me, but only if you'll answer when I reply, since Keller doesn't.

Johnny Gash 12-10-2003 01:16 PM

Which do you like better and why? And how long have you been using them?

Hansm 12-14-2003 02:30 PM

i need to tell epassporte is good, but they are having ONE BIG PROBLEM.

i did signup and they did ask me for a amount from the pending payment, why? they can make a system like paypal, 4 digit number alot easyer.

i did call mastercard, they said its a pending payment of 0,25 euro cents and i did ask for the US amount and the guy said 0.31 us cents

but fucking shit it was 0.31 - 0.15 eurocents so around 0.10 cents.

too much troubles with epassporte's system now, ok its nice to prevent fraud but its fucking hard to sign up with them for alot of people.

stormpay i cant tell anything about it, but i hear they are good from alot of people.

jimthefiend 12-14-2003 02:34 PM

you can fund your stormpay account with checks with ZERO clearing time

bad bouncing potential

Visa, Mastercard, Discover and wire transfer at the moment, depending on the type of account you have -- chargeback rules are the same as other non adult, non high risk merchants, and are very low, especially relative to what adult is used to seeing. The 1% limit for fines is also not the same with eP either.

Best thing to do is shoot me an email -- [email protected] -- my icq hasn't been behaving the last week or so, something is wrong with it.

How hard is it to setup an Epassporte account?

Zappu 12-15-2003 01:39 AM

@Kimmykim
What I can not understand, when I tried to open an account I have to read 25 Pages and sign them and then I have to send 100$ by wire transfer to your account as a deposite?

It was told me I have to wire it, it could NOT be paid by credit card!
Don't you think this is probably a little bit complicated to open an account?

pornJester 12-15-2003 02:19 AM

Here are a few of the more popular PayPal alternatives with short descriptions...

StormPay - Accept online payments instantly. No paperwork or approval process.

iKobo - Accept credit card & bank account payments worldwide. No setup or monthly fees.

ePassporte - Offering a pre-paid Virtual Visa, usable online anywhere Visa is accepted.

For a commercial account, no. If you want a personal account then go to the website and open one, you can do that with a credit card.

Without knowing what kind of usage you want, I cant really advise you, thus the reason I suggested in that other thread that you email me directly.

mastermint 12-16-2003 03:11 AM

Hey,

Try the virtual account from PayPower; your money into a FDIC insured bank account with MasterCard. Load with all the options mentioned above. Check out my sig for more info...

Take your spam and GFY. Come back when you run a real processor.

They sound like the best of the bunch. I just signed up last night. Stormpay's fees for money transfers have become ridiculous.

They suck,

Wouldn't be so bad if they were not advertising to businesses.

abdab_1 12-17-2003 08:47 AM

https://www.ikobo.com/ref.cgi?r=SP497456GB

check these boys out, as much as it hurts me to say it they look good. The rates are set at $205 per 30 days but you can also increase this by submitting ID through the post.

The fact they issue a card as well could help paying out to people who dont want to receive payments through the post.
