Need Advice:: Anyone Else Own A Moluccan Cockatoo
I have a moluccan cockatoo ( 7 months old), is there anyone else who has a bird who could give advice regarding moving to a new home?
This sunday Im moving into a condo, but its cold as hell outside and I dont want it to get sick - outside of wrapping it up in a thick blanket are there any other things I should look into to make sure it arrives safely?? http://www.merriewood.com/moluccan.jpg |
Make sure your car is warm and the new place to, have the heat turned on before you bring him to the new place.
Put him in a small cat carrier, wrap it up good with a blaket so he doesnt get a cold draft while you are moving him to your car. Tropical birds get respiratory infections very easily, just be sensible and he should be ok. |
Got a buddy who has well over 10k parrots here in Florida, anyway he swears he has kept 'em outside in the snow when he was in IN. Hit me up on ICQ and I will pass his info to you. I'm sure he can tell you what the best course of action is.

put it on your car seat and sit on it.. your butt will keep it warm, just be cautious and dont fart, it will die
