    Giga Theives?

    I just clicked someones button in their sig with a referal code for Gigacash in it...

    Got to the splash page clicked enter but didnt have any webmaster referal code to give the webmaster who's button i clicked credit.

    Are you guys stealing webmaster traffic or what?

                                                  SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

                                                                                                                          Now this is where it gets interesting because unless someone came up with a new way of tracking someone there are only 2 real ways to do it. You track them via variables in a url or you set a cookie on the surfers computer.

                                                                                                                          The url to enter the site is http://gigacash.com/home.htm which clearly shows that there are no varibales located in the url, however, i do not have any cookies set on my browser (which allows for cookies to be set). This url is on the page which comes up after clicking the affiliate ref. link

                                                                                                                          So my question is pretty simple. If you dont store any variable which could identify the surfer in the URL and you dont set any cookies then how exactly do you track the person once they click the enter link?

                                                                                                                                                              It's amazing the number of people who run websites and don't understand basic concepts. There are a million ways to track a user without a cookie. Off the top of my head, they could be using a session (sort of like a server-side cookie - very common practice), IP tracking, etc.

                                                                                                                                                              Maybe something is wrong, but if all of you people think cookies are the only way to track visitors, you're morons.
