Revshare or Per Join?
Which do you like?
I like both for different, but recently been doing really well with the revshare deal. Tushycash, Makebling have kicked some major ass for me! What about you? |
thanks :-)
all my sites are revshare and all my traffic goes to revshare programs. |
Revshare is awsome, esp when those recurring dollars come 'round. Ive been doing very well with revshare as well! :thumbsup
|
The Revshare is only as good as the sponser is. If looks like it has good site and shit and it's updated so that members stay a member, I'll go with revshare, but per signup is great for sites that don't have great retention ratios!

95% of my joins go to per signup programs for a few reasons:
1) I can't control the members area and hence I have no effect in retention. 2) Sponsor can continue marketing to surfers in upsells, emails, etc without getting me credit. 3) Lack of trust in CC processor 4) Lack of trust with company directly 5) Non-exclusive content sites have the same feeds and lose retention value ... Revshare for sites with exclusif content
Per Signup for the rest |
There's a company I signed up to so I could send some friends as referrals. I posted links to a few of their hosted galleries on some pages deep on a couple of domains in December 2002 or January. I totally forgot about it.
I just looked in it and saw on 4 recurring signups I made $449.20 over the course of the year. My minimum payout is set for $500 which the next two rebills will take care of. Guess how much traffic I am going to start sending that program next year. :Graucho |

Revshare is the way to go. We are adding 2 hot movie sites to help those rebills keep coming in. |
Depends i do like revshare when the site updates often and they stay arond for awhile and if it's an everybody and they mama kind of site just give me that up front cash
|
Revshare.
I'd rather promote sites I think are actually good and there is more long term money in revshare. Less incentive for sponsors to shave revshare too and I think that is on everybody's mind today. |
Definitely RevShare...no shaving, no bullshit, and you make more $$ in the long run. I like this story, hope Steve doesn't mind me sharing this, but they are still paying their webmaster to this day for the first Tawnee Stone signup. That guy is making bank on that! If your site retains, then revshare is the wise decision.
|
There are only two programs that I would revshare on... EscortBiz and AmeliaG's programs. They have unique sites and retain well from what I understand. I would consider others but would have to respect and trust the program as much as the two mentioned above.
Everything else is per join. |
I have always liked revshare programs. They seem to build slowly, but man... If you get a few rolling... The recurring numbers start to get nice.
|
Revshare is good, but I am leery of it anymore with different companies closing up shop. Of course I pretty much only promote my own stuff anymore...
|
I don't think it is as cut and dry with one or the other. You need a blend. Here is how we distribute our joins.
60% Revshare, 25% PPS and 15% email programs Yesterdays Totals ~420 joins per day to Revshare ~175 joins per day to PPS ~105 joins per day to email programs That makes a nice blend of income. |
Revshare is the way to go. I haven't promoted escortdollars in a while cause I haven't had the right traffic lately, but I still see a healthy amount of rebills from months ago :thumbsup

Aw, thanks. :) I feel special. |
Per sign-up all the way
I want my money upfront it's also easier to convert PPS programs:2 cents: I have never had luck with Rev-share personaly |
i prefer revshare but there are a few (2 maybe 3) PPS sponsors i push

Tushycash and Mr Skin retain but other then those, revshare doesn't compare to PPS.
PPS just rocks month after month for me. |

I have a list of revshare that do very well. The revshare program that sold us back in the day was with Sweet Entertainment.... To this day, almost 4 years later, we still receive checks from him. I can dig up some numbers for the last 4 years and I would venture to say we probably made on average over $60.00/join Dam I need to start sending that crazy guy some joins again...lol |
i have a nice balance of both

I will commit some time to you and get you rockin. I have had Zero complaints so far. |
You deff want to try makebling, they work with you and honestly it converts like mad! Get in now!
|
depends on sponsor... if it's good revshare sponsor (high retention), you will make more $$$ per join, but you'll get less credit at the beginning of the promotion.

Has GFY gotten smarter? Or has the thread not been taken over by guys yelling "we want our money now!"
I would much rather promote a rev share, I know that they have pretty good members areas, and unique products. I also do niche products, which the only way sometimes is revshare. In addition, there is little to no reason for shaving, like PPS. |
