Yeah, but I noticed if I buy all my own traffic I can make a lot more money and don't have to deal with this stuff becuase my business model is far more profitable...I'm not saying I made this model up...but it works well.

Yeah but the fact is, as I was trying to explain before all this started: any webmaster worth his salt know when he's being shaved. So while an independent audit may be a good idea, don't American mutual funds and didn't Enron have auditors?

I have talked to them a little bit and we are working on getting something going where sponsors on my site (sponsorslist.com) will have clicktruth.com reviews of the programs that they've auditted.

People will actually be able to see who's been auditted and whether or not there's anything that they should be aware of before choosing that sponsor to promote.

Besides, it's a small industry. People talk. If these guys walk into TopBuck's admin and check things out and then screw them over somehow... how many other programs do you think will invite them in after?

Just to clarify: Pibcash contacted PornPosse about installing ClickTruth after the hubub this week. They have been extremely cooperative and installation is going smoothly.

We'll post when their integration is completed and auditing is in place.

sponsors are getting desperate. why dont they go back to revshare, it would be easier than wasting there time with all these rubbish.

Who needs a 3rd party auditing service? We all know that shaving is a problem of the past and everyone is honest now. Wanna buy a watch?

Knowing that programs DO shave, knowing that affiliates are always suspicious of their sponsors, and knowing that there is a solution being provided to address this matter means that these guys are worth a look. I know these guys well. I've worked with them. I know how they get their data and they have nothing to gain by misrepresenting their services. As a matter of fact they have everything to lose if they don't operate with 100% legitimacy.

If the guys at Click Truth operate with honesty and integrity, which is the sole purpose of what they are trying to accomplish and promote, all sponsor programs will eventually need to be a part of the auditing process or they will look like they have something to hide.

It's all part of growth, trust and earning webmasters business in this industry if you don't trust the sponsors this is just another avenue for you to take.

You are correct Scott...we cannot (nor would we) vouch for their past behavior...but we are hitting their system hard right now and will post all of our stats, as well as have them on Clicktruth.com as soon as we are done.

In addition, Tom has asked us to do random, blind audits on a going-forward basis and anyone who signs up at our site and promotes any of the Sponsors we work with can do the same.

Can't say anything about his past, but his future should be clean...

Well of coarse not, but regardless, if they were shaving 50%+ before, and now start paying the same $30 per join without shaving at all, they're going to go out of business in no time. I guess time will tell.

does it do a blind random audit or is it an ongoing verification system on every single transcation or is it an audit of the processing company as verified against the stats the company shows or something else?

Good question Sleazy. I didn't feel like typing all that.

We set up the system and perform usually a week or two's worth of tests. At that point, we switch to once/week or twice monthly audits. These are unannounced to the program.

Anyone who joins our site (it's free) has their aff id's passed to the program if they are already a member. At that point the program knows that they too can test randomly any time they want. Whether they do or not is up to the web master, but it really doesn't matter. The program can't afford to shave us or anyone on our protected list, as random audits keep them honest.
