which layout is better?
 

Which layout do you like better and why? (It's for an e-commerce site selling offensive tshirts).

1st - http://www.wackythings.com/tee.htm
2nd - http://www.wackythings.com/lamps.htm

The first will have a larger "banner" up top w/ color and images.
The second will be as is except with tshirts not lamps.

why dont you have 2 domains selling the same stuff with the 2 designs... see which converts better?

I will - actually I will have a bunch - but I want to focus on one in which I will use on all of my print advertising.

i'd say the first one then :)

Do see any benefits that the 1st one wil have over the 2nd one?

Here's a psychological question.

Does one layout make it seem like there are more items? i.e. to me at least, when I see the 1st layout, I can group the 12 images easier (maybe it's because it's mostly blackwhite)

I wonder if things like this affect people when visiting a site like this

I vote second design.

The first one is too hard to read, and quite boring.

The 1st does look alittle boring but will probably add alot more when the top is finished (more color, images, etc.)

Weird, porn boards like the 1st, regular boards like the 2nd. What does that say?
