Webair DNS servers not working?

Anyone else having problems? My domains aren't resolving.

Slinx 12-09-2003 06:19 AM

up and working

cluck 12-09-2003 06:21 AM

Damn. I'm experiencing dead air time over here. I'd like to get my PPC campaigns active again. Can anyone resolve www.picshow.net ?

johnbosh 12-09-2003 06:51 AM

not working here

chodadog 12-09-2003 06:52 AM

My domains are coming up fine, but yours is not. So it's obviously a problem limited to you. Hit them up on the live support. They get back to you pretty damn quickly!

Mike-BP 12-09-2003 07:18 AM

Yours is down.

cluck 12-09-2003 09:55 AM

It's up :thumbsup

I dunno if it was cause of the post but the guys at webair are always on top of things :2 cents:

Thanks, it's fixed now. It could be because I had just changed the DNS servers on my registrar to point to webair, but they were showing up in the whois results. If they hadn't changed yet they'd be pointing to the dotster parked page. Probably just a hiccup somewhere along the line.

It takes a while to start resolving

Yeah the thing is I added the domains to my control panel a few days ago so the DNS servers would already recognize them when I change them in the whois info. I would have expected it to keep resolving to dotster for a while but it just wasn't resolving to anything after the servers changed.

cluck,

looks like issues with the registrar:

nslookup www.picshow.net ns.webair.net
Server: ns.webair.net
Address: 216.130.161.1

Name: www.picshow.net
Address: 216.130.170.99

the zone files hav been on the Webair DNS servers since Nov 28th

whois picshow.net
[Querying whois.internic.net]
[Redirected to whois.personalnames.com]
[Querying whois.personalnames.com]
[Unable to connect to remote host]

you may want to contact the registrar see if they are having any issues...

feel free to contact me if you have any further issues

TheViper 12-09-2003 10:11 AM

Hmm internic shouldn't be forwarding that domain to a different registrar. That was an expired PR domain I got at namewinner. Hopefully noone's trying to pull anything fishy. :2 cents:
