How many affiliates cheat?

Sponsors can shave, that appears to be easy, just buy the software.

Affiliates can rip a sponsor too. Think it takes aliitle more effort

Wondering how often this happens?

I know with my TGPs, the hitbots on traffic trade are a pain, but at least I don't have to send 'em $35 a join.

Pussyluvers doesn't shave any of its sponsors!!!

Maybe that's why sponsors shave -- some affiliates cheat. Lord knows how many sponsors went tits up because of rampant cheating. I'm sure many early per click sponsors died because they didn't use proxyguard against PPC cheaters. While I don't condone and approve of what PIBcash or Dollars4all (and other alleged shavers) supposedly did, I do understand why some sponsors cross the line from scrubbing to shaving.:2 cents:

Given the recent VISA changes will start hitting home come March or April 2004, I'm afraid "revelations" of ALLEGED shaving will become more common.

Another scam is the stolen email addresses.

Use a specfic email address just on my TGP submit confirm form. It turns email bomb in days...

Affiliates cheat - I have been getting quite a few cb's recently because of one particular asshole - Fortunately, the few times someone has tried to cheat my programme, I have caught them out very quickly and have been able to block them.

This said, does NOT give me the right to steal from my affiliates by shaving -
We pay 65% and 30$ - This based on what we know we can make out of our members - We have a shit hot members site and members stay because of our efforts to keep them with quality , regular updates.

Too many programmes have sites full of shit - No chance of holding on to a member longer than the few hours it takes to download the entire site - And into the bargain, the programme owners are offering to pay 40$ or more for a free/low cost join?

Impossible to make it pay that way - Unless not everybody gets paid!!!

The bottom line is every member is important and it costs me far less ensuring that members stay, than it does looking for new members -

easy chris rock,
its sad but true that it does come down to the fact that you don't want a sponsor that shaves, since there are a lot of them out there, its the norm, so i'd say its a valid statement for a sponsor to claim they don't shave.

anidifranco 12-09-2003 09:58 AM

They ALL shave.
