Can you donate furniture to charity and get a tax deduction?
 

I'm moving soon dont want to take some peices back with me and instead of putting an ad in the paper and dealing with that I'd rather just donate it and get a tax deduction.

I've heard ads on the radio for donating old cars, I don't know if any charities take furniture, and some electronics.

Take it to the Goodwill. There is a veterans group that takes crap like that too and they even haul it away for you.

Yes, you can donate to the Goodwill and they will give you a reciept for tax deductions. :thumbsup
