With all of this bullshit sponsor shit with the shaving, sometimes it's nice to not have to deal with that shit and just get honest sales with your own site.

But even having your own shit with a solid company (CCbill) could be fleeting. You never know. Next year something catastrophic could happen and we would all get that big email from CCbill/Epoch/Ibill telling us that we're fucked.

That's the big fear.
You get sick of the shaving and build your own site/sites, send traffic to yourself... and then it looks like Visa is going to take your processor and bend them over without lube.

Worse yet, your only alternatives are checks with 70% bounce rates or dialers that surfers are afraid of. No one seems to be working on a genuine alternative.

Then there's Acacia saying you can't show video without giving them a gross percentage, another company right behind them saying they've got a patent on pay per view, and yet *another* company behind them saying they've got a patent on both video and pay per view.

It's enough to make ya crazy.

1) I've always found it amazing how much better my site converts than a nice one from a big company. That alone is proof positive in my eyes that shaving is universal and rampant.

2) There are alternatives in the works. :thumbsup

Ok, Maybe here's a dumb idea??

You have your own site and your getting along. You'd like more. Pick a few to partner with as affiliates. Say limit it to 10 or 20.

Easy to do with ccBill.

This isn't exactly an orginal thought of course.

I'f i could find a site like that to push the hellout of, that I would be 100% positive of and the site was good... Well in heartbeat.

If you don't involve to many and get to know your "partners", the hope is the cheating goes away. Affilaiates can cheat too... hitbot etc.
