Need help with URL Forwarding
 

Hi,

i have a question. I am using MyDomain.com for all my DNS services like IP pointing and URL forwarding.

Now i have a question.

I have added several subdomains and want to forward them to special folders that are on my server. That's not the problem. The forwarding is working good for me.

But ... there are two types of forwarding. The "Stealth Forwarding" and the "Normal Forwarding". When i use the stealth forwarding, the real path is hidden and the surfer see only the URL he entered. But ... as the title of the site it doesnt take the site title i entered. Atm the title is looking like this "subdomain.domain.com"

I think, that there will be problems with google. Do google list the real title that i have entered in the title tag or will google list the fucking overwritten "subdomain.domain.com" title?

Any suggestions?

Post is a little confusing, I think you may want to consider having your host run your DNS for you and have them take care of the setup, this way you dont have to worry about it.

It might be an IE flaw. I would assume google would read the title tag and list that. You might want to install somthing like firebird or netscape and see if the problem still exists.

Google would read it as the subdomain form , but i think this is an issue that can be solved with your host.

If you only have the one domain then its a host problem , if you got other domains that are riding off subs on the initial domain it gets a bit trickier ,and may be host to host or an extra charge.

yup apache is the word
