Pretty sick.. Guess it's a sign of how spoiled today's generation is.. I can't imagine having any job and giving less than 110%. To do anything less would be utterly humiliating for me. Then again, every second not with my kids is spent working pretty much, so it's almost a way of life as well as an ethic for me.

Pride in your work used to count for so much, but today it's only about the quick buck. It's unfortunate.

I'm alweays dedicated, hardworking and above all, honest and trustworthy.


If you need a good person, Oz is honest and needs work if I am not mistaken. At least talk to the man.

No time to slack, no time to BS. If you've ever hired me to do a job for you, you know I bust my ass and go above and way beyond the call of duty. If you haven't hired me, you ask why people are lazy, don't return ICQ's, run off with money and all the other complaints you frequently see on GFY and other boards.

I have professional references from those who have hired me that most would envy. Those kind (accurate) words landed me a decent in-house gig beginning in January (but I am still free to "moonlight" and plan to).

If you need design work, contact me. Forget the prices on my site. With the in-house gig, my moonlighting prices wil be rock-bottom. New site, with details, should be up before January 1st.

Ditto that...and never work for friends. It's too hard to be totally honest with them when their business is going down the shit chute and you have to be the one to break the news.

101.2 degrees temp, bronchitis, it is a Sunday and I am sitting here working...not everyone is lazy. Just takes some time to find them.

All true and I grew up with attitudes like yours.

But don't forget that both sides of the relationship have changed. First jobs were lost through down-sizing. Now they are outsourced or exported. And for maybe 20 years it has been common to hand out good jobs to people with the right bits of paper, rather than to people who can actually do them well.

I can understand younger people having the attitude that they are just so much cannon fodder and giving as little as possible in return.

Every place I have ever worked I have letter's of recommendations from. The problem is now day people who go to school or get certified get the jobs and that doesn't mean there the right person from it. I have a friend with a high school education that can do any programming design anything you need always gets it done on time and is one of the best with computers I have ever seen. Though in society a college education counts. Why doesn't he go to college it would be a waste of 1,000's of dollars to learn stuff he already knows.....

What is the company isnt keeping its employees happy? If you dont take care of the ones who make you the money then of course they wont give back the 110%. Sometimes the smallest things makes the difference, like taking your crew out for lunch once a week, etc ,etc.

Takes awhile to get the right crew together. All of our team has fun shooting, editing and running around laughing at all the fun we have. Somehow, they always bang out the work and put pride into doing it right.

Yes, we spoil them by covering all their drinks at work, buying pizza's, etc., but it all comes down to the work ethic of the boss. If he works hard, has fun, so will the staff.
