Vanilla Sky & iSight

If you're a mac nut, it's interesting to note that in the scene when tom cruise is having a video conference with his lawyer just after he awakes from his comma.. there is a 23" Apple Cinema display with an iSight attached to the top of it.

Just kind of weird because, isnt vanilla sky like 3 year old?

If you were an alien race intercepting all our RF transmissions and evaluating us based on our movies, you would assume that everyone of planet mother fucking earth uses a mac.

What is up with that, Hollywood?

That's funny, but so true. Hollywood has had some kind of sweetheart deal going with Apple for years now. This is both in movies and TV.... probably about 95% of all computers you see used in both are alwyas some form of Apple.

I believe I read something in entertainment weekly about this some years back, but for the life of me I can't remember what was actually said. Something just about the product placement with Apple in the media. So obviously, Apple is pumping some pretty big bucks in to get their stuff placed.

Which reminds me.... is anyone else just completely sick of going to the movies nowdays, paying like $8.00 for a ticket, and having to sit through 15min worth of Sprite and hair product commercials even before the damn previews start??

Man oh man this kills me... it's bad enough the movies themselves are cheapened out with blatent product placement in the damn movie itself. But then we have no choice but to sit through commercials as well. Stop the madness hollywood!! :ak47:

$8 a ticket?? you're lucky. some theatres here charge $13 CDN a ticket, which is less than $10 US
