Heads up on Select Traffic
I've bought traffic from Select Traffic. com and after more then a week they have delivered 1,600 hits out of a 50,000 campaign to be delivered in 30 days. After trying to get an explanation, I finally got a responds today(after threatening to post my experiences on the boards) and the only explanation is that the campaign starts of slow. Makes no sense at all, and other webmasters are reporting the same problems, and I'm sure they will share their experiences with you too.
This was their responds today. Needles to say I have requested a refund through Paypal. ----- Original Message ----- From: Customer Support To: Sent: Saturday, December 06, 2003 2:46 PM Subject: Re: Your Select-Traffic.com Campaign Dear Max I'm afraid no refund will be issued. Any traffic owed to you at the end of the campaign (excluding paused campaigns) will be refunded for. As for people complaining about slow traffic campaigns, that is very strange saying we have been in operation for less than 30-35 days. We have only started receiving orders. Traffic is being sent to your website via expired domain names, click thrus and pop-unders. As your campaign as started, no refund will be issued. Kind regards ST - Lisa Customer Support |
thanks for the info

yeah these guys seem to be a joke sending around 12 hits a day i mean starting out slow is one thing but staying slow is another heh i would not recommend them to anyone myself so dont say ya wasnt warned if ya buy their garbage thats my :2 cents:

Any professional and reputable traffic seller should refund your money on a pro-rata basis. You should only pay for the traffic rec'd to date.
|
Exactly! And to stay with truth in advertising, if you KNOW you cannot deliver 50,000 hits in the 30 days you set as the time-frame as the reseller, you should not be selling and asking for pre-payment for a service you KNOW you cannot deliver.

wow that suks, thanks for the heads up!

Traffic buyers nowadays have to be extra cautious when purchasing from traffic brokers.
There seems to be a new one of these sites every week. They usually disappear as fast as they appear, but not before taking webmasters for untold amounts of money. Your best bet, before investing any money in buying traffic from anywhere, is to do a search on the boards and see what other people have to say about their experiences with them. :2 cents: |

This company apparently suckered a few people in with a very clever, inconspicuous spam post. They led everyone to believe that their traffic was the bomb, so a few people tested it out and got fucked. |
Yes, I bought 10,000 hits from them. I have had a few problems so far. On my payment it clearly states that it is adult only traffic, yet in my members area it says 'TARGETED USA/CANADA'. I have been sent about 1,000 hits and I have got barely any uniques (shittiest traffic). I asked for a refund, and they said they can't, heres there latest email...
Dear Nick No refund will be issued if you pause the campaign until the end of your campaign. I am very surprised you are requesting a refund for a campaign that has started, and just because the traffic has started slowly. We are one of the only traffic suppliers that actually offer quality traffic solutions. If you don't like that, then I'm afraid that it is a little late to be asking for a refund. I advise you start your campaign, and whatever traffic that is owed to you will be refunded; however, by pausing your campaign, then you will not be eligible for a refund. Kind regards ST- Lisa Customer Support |
Thats not good at all.

If I chargedback with paypal, will paypal freeze my account?
|
I have filed a request for a refund through Papal, and I don't think they would freeze your account. They will however freeze the account acsgroups. (Select Traffic.com) their main site is:
http://www.acsgroupinc.info/ I have also filed a complaint with their host for spamming a forum which clearly has rules about spamming. So far there are 5 webmasters on the WEGCASH board that have been duped by this company. |
yes i have filed cmpalints as well and paypal will freeze their account more then likely and if enough peopel compalin they wont be able to lie their way out as long as all our comaplints show similar arguements its sad they claim unique when in afct they are not and the stats are way way off i can show where they claim to have sent 250 plus to one place and only sent just over 100 and then well over 500 to another and sent maybe 200 these people are sad pathetic people hopefully others will catch this and not be screwed by them as well and their spam on wegcash was pretty messed up it took em a bit then a few of us accused that person of being affilated with the company and they didnt deny it but said they was gonna become ana ffiliate later when in fact the people owning select-traffic.com is acs groups and after researching that found out their username on forum matches :\ it is clearly spam and they are scum of the earth
IMO totally my opion and experience i am in no way slandering these idiots (they claim they have lawyers and we are slandering them) well they are idiots and screwing people :ak47: |
What ever happened with the people a while back who were selling traffic with guaranteed 30 second views before a hit was counted?
|
Quote:
If they had lawyers then they would already know that stuff posted on a forum is libel and NOT slander. |
I think it's neither, specially since i have the proof to back up my claims.
They also changed the web site now, so that their guarantee is no longer for satisfaction, but for when they cannot serve the number of hits bought, idiots. |
Quote:
but none of your claims are unsubstantiated. |
Well seems that either they were shut down or choose to delete their web site.
Still have no resolution from Paypal. |
Wow, no site left... That was quick out.

I've yet to find a traffic source that actually pays off..
They can all say where their clicks come from, but that just = how big of a risk you wish to take to trust their word.. Nor have I found a traffic source that says, "Let us prove how good our traffic is." I've heard people ask.., "If your traffic is so good, why sell it when you could send it to your own programs and make more buck?" Well.. I'm of the opinion that they DO send it to their programs as WELL as to those that buy their traffic.. Can't be done??? Bet me!! |
