chemicaleyes 12-06-2003 10:08 AM

In the song called "We Are American," Eminem sings: "(Expletive) money, I don't rap for dead presidents. I'd rather see the president dead."

Martin 12-06-2003 10:16 AM

I don't really care to much for the guy but I give him credit. He made millions at a black man's game and kicked some ass while doing it. There is no rapper out there that can touch his skills.

rooster 12-06-2003 10:18 AM

the funny thing about these rappers is they are all so full of shit. Its ok for your kids to do drugs, act like gangbangers, drink, have casual sex etc.

But do you think eminem is going to let his daughter be a druggie slut. Do you think snoop dog is gonna let his son hit a blunt. fuck no.

He better be careful..he's gonna have 6 page hate threads on GFY :P

Martin 12-06-2003 10:21 AM

I think Snoop with let his kid hit a blunt.

LOL!!!!! maybe you could give him some advice how to handle it... after all, you have experience in that field...

beemk 12-06-2003 10:40 AM

here it is, give it a minute and it will be up

cluck 12-06-2003 10:43 AM

I might respect eminem again if that lyric makes it on the album.

i wouldnt count on it. hes not going to leak some tracks to the internet from his album before its even scheduled for release date.

Martin 12-06-2003 10:48 AM

Pretty good track.

Eric 12-06-2003 10:49 AM

I think it will make the album. The trick behind it is that he doesn't say the President of the United States or name GWB at any time. So his statement is completely covered by the 1st amendment. I LOVE IT!

TurboAngel 12-06-2003 11:07 AM

Well that goes to show the The Secret Service guy's need to get a life.

Free publicity for him no matter how you look at it. I am no lawyer but it sure as hell doesn't appear that he is breaking any laws with that single lyric. He could be rapping about a PTA president. To vague but the shit has begun to stir.

Theo 12-06-2003 11:32 AM

Lyrics censorship sucks.

Censorship sucks.

Theo 12-06-2003 11:33 AM

btw,i listened part of the song on tv.

Fletch XXX 12-06-2003 11:48 AM

'id rather see the president dead.'

nice line.

i have often expressed my opinion as: what i think could land me in jail, and i dont go much further than that.

vote with bullets is all i say.

It seems like a witty use of lyrics.

He says that "he doesn't rap for dead presidents", ex. Kennedy etc etc. but that he'd rather "see the president dead" - the article points out that Dead Presidents is slang for Money (the faces of dead presidents are on American money as you all know).

So, I think he's saying he raps for money, not presidents.

i'd say the majority of his fan base resides in trailor parks.

And the rest sadly to say just have no taste. ;)

I watched 8 mile...decent movie he did a lot better job than I would have expected him to.

I llike some rap too. But the fact is Emineme is a one note wonder.

The guy sounds like a whiny nasaly *sp?* little bitch when he spews his stupid little rhymes...they all sound pretty much the same.

This guy may have started out "hard", but he's soft now. He's a product like most recording artists...wrapped up in a pretty package, sporting a shiny label topped off with a jingle and sold to the public as "the real thing," when we all know that's Coca-Cola ;)

Right now this guy is about as Gangsta as Avril Lavigne is punk.

agreed. and something else i want to add. i can't fucking stand people like him because lets face it, kids who listen to that type of music feel as though they can "relate" in a sense... now whenever i see him, hear his music, etc etc, he thinks he is SUCH a HARDASS... and most of his fans, think they are hardass themselves for listening to the damn music...

theres a bunch of little fucking annoying eminems running around thinkin they're something they aren't, making life just a bit more shittier for normal people who have to come across these mindless drones in society...

i'm not sayin everyone who listens to his music thinks they're hard, but im willing to bet the majority do. DIE.

And there's nothing wrong with being into chicks if you?re a girl, and theres nothing wrong with being into all of it. Yay more ammunition :glugglug I love Eminem and I was worried that he was running out of things to be pissed off about and would go too soft to put out another album in his infuriated style. I hope the whole world keeps "feeding him his MO" :winkwink:
