Google PR - what % of sites are 9/10 or 10/10?

Are there stats on how many sites actually have 9/10 or 10/10?

Is it possible for a site to be 10/10?

Brad-Wishing 12-05-2003 11:01 PM

I used to work for a PR 9. you have to have a FUCKWAD of backlinks to get that.
10/10 = yahoo

microsoft.com is backdown to a PR9 - they made it to PR10 for a short time...

Nothing political, but how can apple.com be a pr10 and MS be a PR9? Less content? Less backlinks? Oh, the meta tags! Were these set manually?

What do you get with a PR10 anyway?

I did a bunch of searches on key words like operating sytem, software... words you'd expect to find MS or Apple.

Strange, but a search on email software resulted in Eudora, not Outlook or Exchange. Email server software didn't even get MS Exchange it to the first page of google.

Maybe MS needs some SEO help? Of maybe Google doesn't like MS, after all, look at all those linux computers they're using.

The 10's must be hand set :Graucho

That's why MS wants to buy google -- to be a PR10!

and
Charge for rank on keywords.

Put there shit ahead of everyone else.

Censor porn - look at MSN...

Swapout all those linux servers with XP Servers so that hacking is easier.

Charge just to be listed.

Charge to use the SE

SubAms 12-06-2003 05:04 PM

Another one is
http://www.macromedia.com = PR10

igneus 12-06-2003 05:12 PM

last time we ran the zone files there was a couple hundred pr9's and around 25-50 pr10s, don't have the files anymore to look 8-/

that was a couple months ago so i imagine its way different now

give me the zone files and a couple servers and ill run them again and see exactly how many there are hehe

I think most of that PR is built from W3.org, they have quite a few links from them. But the other 8,000+ links probably help out too :)

Nice find btw...
