Are you sure you got it from Subway??
I'm eating an Italian BMT right now as I am typing this!! :helpme

I always thought Subway was one of the more "cleaner" and "healthier" eateries.

something like this can go bad at any place you eat. he could have gotten a chicken sub and they forgot to cook the chicken or it could have been sitting out too long. subway does seem pretty clean though.

did you go to the hospital pinkmonkey?

You are going to end up vomitting all of the contents of your stomach which is a good thing. After that you will feel much better. If you dont feel better within 2-4 hours and havent stopped vomitting goto the hospital or a doctor. If you feel a part of your body getting numb do the same. Otherwise, after your stomach is empty you'll be doing better.

Spend like 24-48 hours eating light foods, like rice, drinking tea, dont go eat anything heavy or spicy.

Had food poisoning in October myself, nasty shit.

Good luck. :thumbsup

Subway happens to have very unsafe food handling reports-

They come in right behind Burger King as the most reports of bad sanitation.

In your case I'll bet it was bad or dirty lettuce-
It's hardly ever the cheese of meats that go bad but most likely the bacteria on veggies

Damn I didn't know that. I always liked Subway because they weer gloves when preparing your food. And they make it in front of you, so you know they don't spit in your food or do anything funky with it.

Don't let those gloves fool you. They are actually better at cross contamination than your hands. Plus, most food poisoning happens from cold food, like lettuce...

As for what to do, if you have any of the sandwich left, save it and take it to the health department...

Thats what I had...the Italian BMT....thats what I always get...I know for a fact it was from the sandwich. I hadn't eaten anything before that since 9 in the morning and I felt fine all day.....I ate the sub and 2 hours later my stomach was in knots. could have been from spoiled mayo or the meat could have been out to long and went bad....who knows. It's been just under 24 hours since I ate it and I'm feeling better...not 100% but better.

GonePhishing 12-05-2003 09:34 PM

It will pass in 24-48 hours. Nothing you can do about though. Just try to keep puking and crapping... Lay down... Try to eat very dry plain things... That is if you can eat. Drink clear soda like sprite... Popcicles stay down nicely, and the soda in them helps too.

Sorry dude... It sucks. I ate a big montana from arby's... 1 pound of rotten beef... I thought I would never stop puking...

wyldblyss 12-05-2003 09:42 PM

I had food poisoning in Mexico years ago. No health care, vomiting for 3 days straight, spotted rash all over my body thought I was going to die. Ruined my trip, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

GonePhishing 12-05-2003 09:44 PM

I hear that... It's the same as having diptheria for a couple days... I'd rather have the flu or a week...

HeadPimp 12-05-2003 09:44 PM

I know how bad it sucks as well... The wife has had it twice, and I had it once...

austinth 12-05-2003 10:34 PM

Don't eat any dairy products, drink water, take some immodium and if it still bothers you in the morning get to the doctor

Sosa 12-05-2003 10:49 PM

Our subway here doesn't seem too bad. I always go for a Italian BMT w/ bacon and it is great!

Nope. One of the worst. Watched a special on Dateline about health code violations. They were like #6 or #7 I think.

Burger King was the worst.

My friends dad got a rotten sub from subway once.. he kept the sub for a fucking month.. (just because he is lazy, and doesnt want to make a special trip out there).. well he goes there a month later and shows them the sub, tells them it was rotten when they got it.. so he told them to make him up a new one.. so the guy does, and expects him to pay for it.. but he is like, no im not paying for it, you owe me a sub.. then the guy got mad.. and i guess took his cellphone which was on the counter.. so he jumped over the counter, and beet the guys ass.. keep in mind, this is a 50+ year old man who is beeting the shit out of a subway employee... anyways, he got a free sub, and left..

just thought i would share... this happend less then a week ago

Food poisoning is no picnic. Ive had it on more then one occassion. When its bad enough you just wish you could die and get it over with.

Stay hydrated even if your feeling better and eat the b.r.a.t diet for a day or two to let your system recover. good luck.
