The Lakers are definitely the team to beat. It may be a little early to start celebrating, but it is really going to be tough to beat them come playoff time.

I'm in Florida and both of our teams suck.:mad:

The Lakers look very strong, i havent watched basketball in a while but had a chance to catch a game last night. With Shaq, Kobe and payton they can't lose.

Phil is a defensive coach he always stresses D-fense. Defense wins Championships.

They don't have a chance at breaking the wins record. The 95 Bulls team was picture perfect triangle offense, with 3 all-time great defensive players (Jordan, Pippen, Rodman). Besides that, they're going to crush everybody until they meet the Knicks in the finals where they'll lose 4-2. Lol, I hope my bias isn't reflected in any of the previous statements.

Doug Christie is a joke. He uses "dirty" tactics to get his way which has earned him a false reputation of being a good defensive player. He's just a good athlete with a hard work ethic, who will soon to be replaced by the expertly skilled European pros and Middle School players in the States. Did I say middle school, lol.... (give it 10 years)

I'm not a Lakes fan but after watching the first regular season game, I said the title was a done deal.

Laker fans and Yankee fans ................ SUCK! Front runners who disappear when the championship seasons are but a memory.

I love the Lakers, like 90% of the people on this board (yes, that includes the h8ers) but I'd hate to see their winning streak end just like the Mavs last year. :(
