Should Russia and China be disconnected from the Net?

Let's face it, most of the cheaters, virii factories, vicious spam, and general nasty crap comes from these countries. Should these countries be disconnected from the Net?

cluck 12-04-2003 07:07 PM

Maybe it comes over chinese and russian proxies, but alot of it comes from the US. When I was in my teenage hacker phase it was fun to join up with the chinese and russians to get shit.

BoNgHiTtA 12-04-2003 07:07 PM

Lets just disconnect you.

Head 12-04-2003 07:09 PM

SKULL 12-04-2003 07:11 PM

Well kinda true, all they do there is spam cheat and fuck with honest people, they don't have CCs and I don't think dialers are good there either, so in other words we don't benefit from them at all... :)

The easiest thing to do would be to cancel your AOL account and go back to watching Ricky Lake. Then you won't have to worry about the scary Russian spammers/hackers anymore.
:thumbsup

sumphatpimp 12-04-2003 08:16 PM

so we go to the BIG internet control panel and just pull the plug that says Russia or China?

you are truely amusing.

you should open your eyes a bit, how much USA money is invested in china? every big company who make products has factory there and there economy is growing like 8%

your not talking small change here your talking billions.

ive seen some cool shit come from china webmasters, take a look at www.alibaba.com, lik-sang.com for example these are all multi million dollar companies come from china mainland.

you think everyone in china and russia are poor and backward? you need to wake up pal

Phoenix66 12-05-2003 12:36 AM

Hmm. I'd be happy if yahoo ban e-mails that come from chineese IPs or contain links to chineese sites. 90% of spam comes like that. I can ban it on my own server, but I have an old yahoo account and can't just abandon it, there is too much connected to it.

Have to stress that 50% of that spam originates from comcast, aol and other US providers anyway. They only use chineese proxies to send spam and bp hostings to host spamvertized sites.

Also, a lot of br (Brasilian) proxies/hostings used for spam poped up recently.

I hate it. I abuse every spam message I get and the flow is still increases every day. When someones really pisses me off, I place a hotlink to their site somewhere on the pages with heavy traffic. It helps in many cases, because those Russian/Chineese hostings are expencive, and 10-20Gbytes of daily traffic can be a real pain. They contact me then and remove all my mails from their lists... But I can't hotlink every little asshole. Pity I'm not like Hun. Then it would be a real fun.

Ten or fifteen years from now (possibly less) don't be surprised if we see segregation of different areas of the world online based on class, beliefs, etc...

This is going to become more and more like a true cyber world. The desire to take part in each area will of course reflect the country it comes from.

You simply can't have people who live in 3rd world countries selling products to Americans and basically bringing powerful US dollars into their poverty striken country. These people will be limited to areas of the web which will not include selling to the western world in the same easy way they can now.

That would be just one aspect of it.

Until they have and can use credit cards on the Internet, that would be a good idea. :winkwink:

Brad-Wishing 12-05-2003 02:02 AM

WHAT?! Then what kind of traffic could we send to TGP trades??
:1orglaugh :thumbsup

Netmax 12-05-2003 02:08 AM

Most scam and shit comes from US.
Let's disconnect US from the net! ;)

HeadPimp 12-05-2003 02:08 AM

Anyone notice in the WSJ today the article about the Chinese government encouraging their populace to start using credit cards?

I think that's true. Too many trojans are on computers from third world countries. I guess they don't know about antivirus software. They are all targets to be hacked and before open proxies.

Plus I see spammers request proxies from outside the US. Never know when US proxie can be FBI.

LMAO, in a few more years you will be a peon, busting your ass for Russians / Chinese. Moran.

{fusion} 12-05-2003 06:00 AM

There is 90 million chinese online and growing, how do you think they got online, think they use western union to pay for the provider?

Matt 26z, where have you been for the last 10 years?

95% of ebay traders buy from either www.alibaba.com or www.globalsources.com (mainland china companies)

you going to stop buying electrical goods, toys and shit like that as you dont want to feed chinese pockets?

if you dont buy / manufacture in china nowadays your history pal as you cant compete.

where you think most of there companies on here are outsourcing there designs and code? third world countries. you know why? because there smart, extremely dedicated and talented.

oh sorry i forgot, you cant buy dreamweaver and photoshop in chinese language.
