Bach
Mozart Händel Prokofiev Brahms Vivaldi Puccini Dvorak Verdi Ravel Grieg Mussorgskij Rakhmaninov Glazunov Poulenc Telemann In that order. |
Danny Elfman..........
He is right there with Mozart and the like. A true GENIUS. |
Quote:
Most all of Elfmans work is variations on Mahlar Symphonies. Mozart is in a class all his own. Even Mahlar, who was a student of Wagner copied a very large amount of his work from his teacher as well as another composer of that day Bruckner. |

Perfection Girls.......Everyones music is influenced by those before them. To say he has no original thoughts is quite ridiculous. But the drummer with the Devil Horn hair from Boingo , he got that from Mahler. :thumbsup |
VATOS!

Don;t get me wrong... I like Elfman.. He rights powerful stuff and being a brass player I love it. However, if you like Elfman, go get a recording of Mahlar's 1st 5th and 7th Symphonies recorded by the Chicago Symphony with Fritz Riener Conducting. It's amazing! |

haha wacky. |
David Byrne, unlike many listed here, was not only able to put together some great music, he also came out with a few groundbreaking music/video combinations that he conceptualized. True Stories is great, Stop Making Sense was a work of art.
Just wanted to throw that in since someone mentioned him. :) - Titus |
Bjork
O(+> Dj Premier |
Bjork
O(+> Dj Premier huh? That looks like some html code.. not an artist! hahaha |
Most of the classical composers (except Bach) that were listed I would list as well.
For modern composers, I'd have to go with John Cage and Brian Eno (for his ambient compositions, not his pop productions). |
richard wagner
mozart quincy jones rkelly dj premier alchemist jaydee mark the 45 king tito puente |
Mike Patton
John Zorn Eyvind Kang Danny Elfman |
