I think I have found my second career - Forex trader?
I got allot of material to read on about Forex trading, looks interesting so far. Anyone trading with forex? and how are you doing with it?
|
Yep, been doing it for a few months now. Everything is so volatile at moment its cool. I haven't got the capital to risk at moment to open a decent brokerage account ($25k +) so I've using a fixed odds betting company to hedge on up/down swings on the dollar vs others. Up about $7k this week (was $8.5k but lost on Eur/$ last night).
Check out my sig for a link to the site, its a quick way to get started and you can learn the trends before moving on to direct access. You can do indicies also, not just forex. :2 cents: |
Been looking at it for a while now, but not trading yet. Most people use technical analysis to guess which way the market is going.

My boss was in charge of Forex for standard chartered Asia. From what I know it is probably the most complex financial markets to trade. Obviously doing it from a banks point of view with billion dollar positions and doing it from a personal account are completely different though. He is currently running an investment club which has seen returns of +35% in the last 4 months and he has now left SCB to set up a fund trading US stocks.
I developed their old website http://www.doctorstocks.com/defaultold.asp (which we have recently closed down to concentrate on the fund) and we had returns of 63% from Jan 1 2003 on 10% max risk. This was obviously using a very concervative approach that people could understand and did not include options cfd's. If you want any more info on forex give me a yell and i will ask my boss some specifics. |
