Las Vegas residents

Is it just my carpet or does anyone else get shocked when touching metal at least like 10x a day?

Ludedude 12-04-2003 01:15 AM

It's because it's been so dry lately.

picpile 12-04-2003 01:16 AM

not me, maybe its the kmart shoes you wear

princess 12-04-2003 01:17 AM

Dry? that causes it?

Mostly happens here in the south when it's chilly.

picpile 12-04-2003 01:18 AM

dur you are not that smart, check your humidity when it happens, its just dry air, in the south and the mid west its only dry in the winter

Zoe_Zoebaboe 12-04-2003 02:26 AM

Yeah. Happens to me all the time.

it's due to all the electronics in newer vehicles, generally. that's why women set themselves on fire at gas stations :)

:1orglaugh Yup all my buddies from Hawaii freak out when they move or visit Vegas since Hawaii is like 112% humidity and Vegas is prolly 12%

Apparently in the dry air you build up a lot more static electricity in your body.

Be careful pumping gas too :2 cents:
