I have heard that employees have stock in the company, not sure how that all works, but it's a decent gesture. I've also heard the health plans are fairly decent.

They own their business and the people work voluntarily. They aren't being forced to work there. This is the future of the US economy--high quality, low prices.

You want to get paid $80K + up a year as an employee, get a job that will pay you that. If not, go back to school and reinvest in yourself.

I don't shop at Walmart. The prices are cheap, but the service sucks. The whole place reminds me of an assembly line. Speaking of lines, I'm sorry but I'm not going to wait 20 mins in line at a checkout to save 2 bucks on a couple of DVD's or some toothpaste and some toilet paper. My time is worth more than that, and I prefer more personalized service, which Wal-mart fails to offer.

This begs the question--If the Walmart model is replicated through all areas of the US economy, we would be reduced to low paid workers, middle class professionals/creative types, small business owners, and PIMP CLASS (the ones who pull the strings). The good thing about the US is you pretty much get to pick which group you want to be in.

I ain't ashamed...I bought a cheap hdtv there for my xbox...I buy dvd's and vid games there...a phone...tupperware...a trash can...duct tape...a mouse...onesy's...a dish drying rack...brillo pads...picture frames...a set of plastic cups...etc etc.

Don't even get me on target...much less ikea...I like cheap shit...it means I can spend more money on the good things in life...like beer.

Where else can you get kid's stuff like baby wipes etc for that cheap? I mean cripes you're wiping shit up with them, they don't need to be crushed velvet :) Walmart is a great place when you have kids.

I hate to shop though. I think I go there mostly because when I'm near a mall or big store (there's none in town), I don't wanna go 10 different places to get all the things I need :)
