Haha, never noticed that before. You're right.

when they don't have a portfolio, you guys rag them to death for not having one. When they do have one and tell you visit it, (i.e. "see sig") you complain about that too.

No, but it's foreign to me to see someone that has no hussle.

When you roof leaks do When your roof leaks do you...

a) Holler out the door and expect them to hear YOU
b) Call THEM since YOU want the work done?

Too many expect designers and such to contact THEM when they should have done their homework and..

a) Have a list that they update as they see such peoples contact info
b) look at the sigs so they don't waste the designers etc time if their style isn't what they envision their site to look like
c) post looking and take what you get

Just a thought. ;-)P

Oh and toss in that YOU aren't anyone special so no, alot of people do NOT work under the table so wages according to a living wage AFTER taxes is imperative. 10 dollars and hour is paid at fast food and easier to make... taxes already out no less and FREE FOOD!

i never act such way :)
but the problem is when i am doing design for some clients
and then they keep silence in their icq, even if they are online and posting at gfy every day

Well, I think alot of designers DO e-mail the person, but they ALSO post their sig for the benefit of other people who may need design work and be reading the thread as well. :winkwink:

I'm not that lazy - but I don't go to the lengths of emailing potential clients usually - if a client likes what they see in my portfolio, I'm sure they will contact me of their own free will :2 cents:
