I never paid much attention to it before, but I installed the google bar after seeing the link here. The url I had a tgp on a couple years ago has a page rank of 3.

Just thought that was funny...isn't it just a reflection of links and search hits or something?

Its a few things. The big pr booster is having other high ranked pr sites linked to you.

PR is important but it's just one element in a very large overall system. I have put many pages in spots 1-5 on very completive keywords and they are usually PR 4-5. On the system I use it takes me roughly 2-3 months to make a PR5 domain sometimes faster.

Some people spend outrageous amounts of money to up PR value when they need to be looking other places :glugglug

That's kinda what I thought. I wasn't really trying to imply anything special by it, but the domain has been down for over 2 years so I thought it was odd.

ohh i know you weren't I guess I was just trying to say it is nice but some people really think PR is the mother of all elements..
