We rescued 2 dogs today.

One of the idiots in the neighborhood decided to move so instead of finding homes for their dogs they just stick a bowl of food and water out into the front yard and leave.

My sister told me that she thought this is what might have happened because she noticed that this one dog had been sitting by the curb all week long.

These people are around the corner and we see the house when we leave our cul de sac...we didn't know they moved but after her telling me that this was going on for a week I told them to go ask the neighbors about the dog...well when they show up that's when they learn there are 2..the 2nd one is about 5-6 months old.

Anyway they were out of water and food and looking a bit under nourished.

Nothing severe just a bit underweight.

Anyway they are out in our backyard now...really sweet dogs but so far we can't get one of the no kill shelters to accept them.

I don't thik they'll make it out of the humane society alive because of their ages. :(

We already have 3 dogs..mine, my sister's and we took on my mother's when she passed away...we can't have anymore inside pups and if we didn't live in such a hot hell hole I would keep them and just make them outside dogs...but the summers here would be too brutal.

Anyone in Vegas want a dog?

Dude I do too...I cannot see myself turning these dogs over to a shelter that does not have a no kill policy. :(

I have a feeling I'll be installing an ac unit into a dog house sometime this next spring.

You're stuck..Once you take a stray animal into your home you won't be able to let it go.

I don't go any farther than putting out some extra dry catfood out on the porch for the feral cats in the neighborhood. I tried to bring a cute female kitten into my home and my 2 year old male cat tried to bite her head off...I hated to put her out on the porch.

Next time ignore the animal and let nature take it's course. You get too much compassion going when you take that animal into your own life.

That's so shitty of the neighbors...wish I could take one, but that's not an option right now. Good luck finding a home for them.
