Billing is different on 800 and 900

On 800 you can get the phone system to request the callers credit card etc. then the system dials out verifies and if the funds are there does the next step play a recording or live transfer.

On 900 in these days you will need a third party collection company, MCI and ATT are pretty much out of this biz. Some third parties wont touch adult others will.

Some of the big players are ATN and MVA.

It all comes down to what you are trying to do exactly, some cases you might use someone elses turnkey system or host with someone etc.

I have been in the audiotext biz for a while adult and mainstream.

I want to have site, people can sign up at, work at home, and a company that answers phone number initially, gets billing info, call gets forwarded, to a number on list.

Both ATN and MVA can make something custom for you but expect to pay a decent penny for this. I have a full time telephony dev. if you can get me exact specs I can tell ya what it would cost.

Do you have to work through them? or can you work through a phone company?

I got my toll free number thru my local phone company.

YOu could easily set up a box to request the credit card information and later on process it by hand =) =)
