Paypal fraud by a sponsor?
 

I just got an unauthorized transaction in my paypal account. $100 was sent to a 'Allen Whitmore'. Not a lot of money , but still this is fucking scary.

It is fucking scary because:
- I'm not an idiot who will fall for email scam and or paypaI.com links, etc.
- I dont have any virus/spyware
- I verified my Host file to make sure I was going to the actual paypal.com
- No one knows this pass and it doesnt mean anything

But, I used this pass with 2 or 3 sponsors with the same email... Unless paypal had an internal leak (unlikely), it must be someone who got hold of a webmaster db from a sponsor program. I guess this was a very stupid move to use the same pass with a few sponsors...

Anybody else with paypal problems?

Lesson #2 Dont use the same passwords for paypal as anything else.

Dude, this is a bunch of shit. Paypal needs to get off their ass and see to it that this guy is put in jail. But alas, they'll suspend his account while he's on a shopping spree.

N0CARRIER_82 ICQ me and tell me where you used that password, lets try to find the source. I'm afraid he will try to change the payment info on some sponsors too.

I was pissed to see that there was already a no carrier on gfy, the weirdest thing is we are both from mtl.

Anyway I call first 514 dib on the name as I was using it on various BBS as long ago as 94! I dont mind if your known as the NO CARRIER from the 450.
