Let's say hypothetically you had 250k to invest in some sort of business. What would it be and where would you start.

I would give Brad 10k for good karma.

Then I would invest 240k in a coffeeshop/internet cafe.

I'd use it as a down payment on a $2.5+ Million commercial property. Probably a strip mall or something else retail.

Buy a still and go into the liquor business

I'd buy 100 , 100k TGP's and make my money back in less than a year easily

There are a lot of things I would like to invest in, but if that money came into my hands I would probably just pay off my mortgage. I hate that thing hanging over my head. I would enjoy the feeling of knowing that it would always be there and no one could take it away.

Definately real estate.

Put a down payment on a couple of apartment buildings or maybe some commercial property.

Buy into a proven franchise. A good one here if you've got that kind of money is a Tim Hortons, I know of two people who did and made their money back the first year.

the next big thing in canada is that dunken doughnuts is coming across the boarder. in some areas all the franchises have already been bought out fully.

I would invest it all into my current business and leap frog past the next 6-8 months of business income - reinvestment. I hate it when ideas are slowed down by money. But that is the nature of things.

$250,000 would be a 20% down payment on $1,250,000 worth of real estate. I would use that to buy some multi-family properties in a couple different areas.

P.S. If anyone wants to loan some money secured by real estate, give me a shout!

Real Estate, dont be a dumbass. FHA foreclosures at 60% of market value with a little clean up and new paint and recoup the other 35% and look like a hero cause you sold it to the new homeowner at 5% under. Been doin it for years:glugglug

i'd say like 200k in real estate.. about 25k in stocks and the other 25k buy some toys .. like a quad and shit

I would definately open a coffee shop/internet cafe as I have been planning to do for 4 years now, Got the whole idea planned out and the name picked out as well, just waiting on raising the funds and going live with it, already got great internet cafe software in mind too...If you need ideas holler at me :thumbsup

What, are you kidding? I'd flip $200k right back into porn. The rest would go as a 5% down payment on a 3 family unit in NY. This business still has one of the most incredible turnarounds and profit ratio of any other business I have ever seen.

There are 2 ways to invest
1) Internet related - I'd build good sites and make a huge affiliate program
2) non internet related - invest in robots (not robots.txt :)))
