MP3 Player Question
My dad is looking at an iPod or a Dell mp3 player, but he's on super slow dial up, so downloading mp3's is not an option. My question and his is...can you put in a CD into your computer and dump those to your harddrive and then dump them to the iPod or another player or does it only work from downloaded songs?

an mp3 is an mp3
itll work regardless |
But they are cd's cd's....like ones you buy in a store, not cd's that are burned with mp3's on it. Does it convert it over to an mp3 allowing you to dump it to a player?

so you want to get music from "real" cds and put them on a Ipod?
it is doable but its recommended for you to change them from .WAV to .MP3 to save 10X more space you can do this with a program called AUDIO CATALYST good luck! :thumbsup |
you are going to have to have a program to convert cd format into mp3.. is that what you are asking?
|
I didn't think it was possible, but I have never used one, so I wans't sure. Thanks :)

Rip the cd onto your hard drive with whatever(see download.com) and then transfer to iPod. Not too hard :winkwink:

A Mac with OSX and iTunes will do it all for you... it will convert the cd format to mp3, and it has an iPod app built right in... once the songs are converted, load them into a playlist, and click a button... off to iPod they go.
Damn I miss my Mac... |
