Can you thing of a bigger scam than Santa? Almost every kid in the world has been had.

i agree, but if your kids in school you almost half to keep up the lie so they dont get alienated.

It's more of a scam on the parents than the kids. The kids walk away with great presents, how are they getting the shaft?

i guess i was smart enough to understand the concept of pretending. my parents didn't lie to me, but they also explained it clearly what it was all about.

when walking thru the mall yesterday, there was a Xmas stand with Santa and a long line of anxious little boys and girls. You could literally see the thrill and excitement in their eyes...

I was so tempted to step beside the line and yell

"KIDS, DON'T GET LIED TO, THERE IS NO SANTA, THE GUY WITH THE FAKE BEARD IS SOME CRACK ADDICT WHO NEEDS CASH FOR HIS NEXT FIXXX!"

But then I figured that would leave a deep mark. :1orglaugh

God is just Santa Clause for adults, and it is truly astounding how many adults believe in It.

Santa Claus was started as St. Nick... as actual saint. The Catholic church is way too powerful to reckon with.

But these days, Santa is just a novelty, gives kids a chance to stay young and innocent with imagination, same as any TV show or book they read. Lets kids have some enjoyment in their life before they have to grow up and realize the world is one big lie and pit of slime. It's not so much about lying to kids as it is about feeding their imagination and having fun with it. I've never heard of anyone traumatized by hearing Santa doesn't exist. Santa exists in everyone that gives a child a present... it's the thought that counts, not the conspiracy that adults dream up :)

Santa pales in comparison to the whole Jesus thing.

I still believe in santa... I don't really believe in a god, but Santa is cool...

Christmas isn't about kids and gifts, it's about love and caring, and giving from the heart...

A person, or a kid for that matter, can still believe IN him, and still know he doesn't exist... being in the porn biz, you would think a person like you would know the difference between fantasy, and reality.

That said... Again, I believe in santa, the reasons that be, and what he and christmas represents.
