with the Domains by Proxy option.
I want to make some domains private so my phone number and address aren't out there but does using domains by proxy take away any of your rights to the domain?

yeah I'm going through them and I'm using the domains by proxy service that they offer.

I just remember someone here talking about it here once and I thought they were saying something negative about that service.

Well, if ANYBODY spams a godaddy domain (including affiliates) Godaddy will deactivate the domain and charge you $100 to restore it. I'd say that's a negative when using GoDaddy since it's impossible to control other people.

That's just what I've read at least.

just use a PO Box & get another number to use for info like this :2 cents: :glugglug

No, you should not lose the domain name. It's not whether the data is public or not, but whether the information given to the registrar is accurate and complete.

We do the same thing for some of our local mainstream clients, sell them the use of our info for a fee. But then mainstram sites aren't so tight with a few bucks. lol We provide the PO box and phone etc and a name (or you use your own).
