Did anybody see Bruce Almighty? its out on DVD now and I wanna know if its worth renting.

Saw it in the theater AND bought the DVD, watched it on Thanksgiving. I laughed so hard in the theater I thought I was going to go into labor. Funniest movie I personally have ever seen. The newcaster scene is CLASSIC! :1orglaugh

We bought the dvd the other night.

IMHO the previews made it look cool...but it wasn't all that.

It had a very Pro Religious theme and the best parts were in the previews.

Exactly. Bought the dvd, never saw a bad Jim Carey movie... until this.

I hated it, didn't even watch the last 10 minutes of it.

Has some nice moments, it's a fun movie but I wouldn't buy it on DVD unless you like to spend money.

About sums it up for me. The pro-religion theme went too far. The last 30 mins were banal. The newscaster scene almost made me laugh. God was black.

Overall the sort of film to rent when you can find nothing else AND it's become cheaper because it's been out a while.

iT'S ok. i saw it in the movie theater. It has some really funny parts. Can be a little sappy.

Personally I can't STAND it when a goofy comedy gets all sappy and tries to make it a "very special" movie... and if it is pro-religion that just makes it 10x worse. Sounds like I'm gonna take a pass.

Worse than The Cable Guy, The Majestic, Earth Girls Are Easy?

Never seen the last two you mentioned, but in my opinion Bruce Almighty was actually worse than the Cable Guy.

It was a good movie but I wasnt on the floor laughing at any time. Jim Carrey was good in the past (Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura KILL ME) but this was kinda a story with a msg type of thing.

oh and bruce almighty was pretty funny. that part where he puts the weed in that van and they find hoffa...........fucking hilarious. but the religious stuff was a little too much. i dont know, some funny parts i guess.

The movie isn't bad, but they did put all of the funny parts in the commercial. If you've seen the commercial, you've basically seen the best of the movie. Don't expect anything else when seeing it.

man in the moon was good. i think the truman show was pretty incredible. i think carrey is really talented.
