I am going to go out on a limb and guess that you are here in Las Vegas. My girlfriend was telling me about that machine. Are you sure it's an $8 fee on an ATM card and not for taking a cash advance from a credit card?

I remember when banks told everyone ATM's would help lower banking fees because it reduced the need for tellers to handle everything.

ive only heard that nonsense when you are using an atm thats not your banks machine. In chicago if you use your banks machine its free, i would assume other states also maybe not.
