Win XP ever scared the hell out of you?
 

It just did it to me. I started my computer and logged in to my account and got back the standard kinder garden look. Questions to install Outlook email accounts and other shit. All my email boxes, favorites and all the rest gone.

Then I rebooted and THANKS GOD everything was back to my own settings! I have had this one time before.

Anyone else ever got the same magic thing?
(and no, I was not logged in as another user!)

The fact that people run Win XP and think it's a good thing scares the hell out of me.

Nope, never scared me

I run xp pro and have had zero problems....knock on wood :winkwink:

XP only lasts about 2 months top with me before needing a reinstall...

It can't hang.
Sometimes it is Media conflicts, other times Networking, most often corrupted user profiles and improper deletion of temp file build up.
XP is the worse ya can get with very bad management of relic files, temp files that just tear up the hardrive over time...

It tends to freak out with a Linux box nearby also...

shit eh... i run xp all day everyday... everything is in 'classic' mode... non of that Toy Story look and feel.. but still never a problem

and no ive never been scared by xp
