Thoughts on how I answered the TGP Hater on the pannel at the LA convention.
for those that remember or who were there, during the Q & A one angry fellow (who drove a WHOLE 300 miles to be there) posed a question / statement about how TGPs are destroying the porn industry decreasing sales ratios and basically fucking it up for everyone else.
did you all like how I answered him? |
can u kodak the moment... what happened?
|
I missed that seminar
Please enlighten oh Sleazy one??? |
i said "i know and am friends with most of the top 20 TGPs out there, and our incomes have been going up every year and I don't care about you."
|
so.... what did you say?
|
Yes, I thought you handle his statements rather well. The whole panel was great. He was just all bent out of shape and for what I don't know! 300 miles is a long way home without all the answers:1orglaugh

I think TGPs are rough on sites with generic content and not a lot of capital, but that is kind of just darwinism. You pointed out that there were plenty of TGP millionaires, but that other people get paid from TGPs too. That is just fact. Nothing wrong with that. I wanted someone to come up with algebra for what they felt constituted a reasonable test of traffic i.e.: Site owner knows conversion ratio is 1:100 with site owner's traffic. Site owner wants to test traffic. How many theoretical joins worth of traffic should site owner buy in order to do a fair test of whether something is a good traffic source? 100 uniques x ? = test with results which actually indicated worth of traffic (Did I just stick my question in there again in a thread about someone elses? Yup, I guess I did.) |

I'm looking forward to atlanta (love the gfy name by the way) |
IMO, this is more about the evolution of the online porn buyer, not the online pornographer.
It's easy to understand why some "premium" paysite operators might get mad when a TGP offers more content in a day than their premium service will offer in its lifetime. |
Thanks Scott for the comment about the gfy name(not my idea) LOL....Atlanta should be a blast with the Consumption Junction crew and National Net both being local! I'm going to make my reservations in the next few days...should be a show not to be missed!
