ARS' consoles inescapable?
 

I was checking out some of their newest sites to promote and saw Queers in the City and once I clicked on it and tried to close it, it ran me for a loop back to free.breathlessboys.com then a popup that keeps looping to itself and loading more popups. I get 10+ popups then a never ending cycle.

Is it like this on all of their sites? If so, that's a horrible trap for surfers...... and webmasters :P

You could just use their console free linking codes...

not sure about their consoles, but their poor conversions are inescapable

Their consoles suck bigtime.
Especialy the dialer ones.
If I click NO I mean NO and don't want to get that damn popup showing up 5 more times!

I am going to be changing all my link codes for sure to console free. Fuck the $5 difference, I think I am losing out more than that on the popups being so aggressive.

A lot of people would rather not piss off their surfers to the point where they hate porn sites. Not all surfers have a popup killer.

Exactly, at least ARS gives us webmasters the option to use console free tours.

There are alot of sponsors out there that don't, and they play just the same dirty tricks on the consoles and dialers.

QIC has done horrible for me. I thought it would be an easy sell since it's new. I'm wondering now if it's the consoles, too. I may change them.

Here's another big no-no I just noticed yesterday- why the hell does PornKings have the blonde naked chick on all the gay sites? It's that download thing, but still, there's a naked chic floating around on the gay sites. Not good. I'm not enrolled in the download thing either, cause I didn't want it, so even if some gay guy did temporarily lose his mind and click on the naked girl, I guess I wouldn't get credit for it. They should at least change it to a guy if they're gonna put it on every gay tour.

Quick tip for those without popup blockers: hit esc as soon as you see a popup. Like IMMEDIATELY. It's the same as clicking the stop icon, so if the page doesn't load then you won't get the onUnload javasc<b></b>ript executed when you close it. If it's just a simple chain then this will break it.

This trick has saved me countless times when I get stuck in a dialer trap while I'm reviewing some dodgy new trade...

(Of course this doesn't help with the ultimate issue, that Joe Surfer gets trapped...)

I use the console-free option. Popups are desastrous for CTRs of all of us
